Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir BOPEE (Board of Professional Entrance Examinations) successfully conducted the Common Entrance Test 2026 (CET 2026) for B.E./B.Tech admissions in J&K and Ladakh on Sunday for the academic session 2026–27. The entrance examination was held smoothly across multiple centres, reflecting strong coordination between authorities and institutions.
The BOPEE CET 2026 was आयोजित at examination centres in Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Doda, Rajouri, Jammu, and Leh, with a total of 1,263 candidates appearing out of 1,538 registered applicants. The wide geographical coverage ensured that students from both urban and remote regions of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh could participate conveniently.
To ensure the fair and transparent conduct of the Common Entrance Test 2026, elaborate arrangements were put in place in coordination with educational institutions, college administrations, and law enforcement agencies. The process was carried out under the supervision of Chairperson Prof. Minu Mahajan, with active involvement from senior officials including the Secretary, Controller of Examinations, and JKBOPEE staff.
Officials confirmed that the examination concluded without any untoward incidents, highlighting the effectiveness of monitoring mechanisms and the professionalism of staff deployed at various centres. The presence of law enforcement personnel under the supervision of Deputy Commissioners at district headquarters further strengthened security and ensured a smooth परीक्षा process.
In a significant step toward inclusivity, the Jammu and Kashmir BOPEE once again established examination centres in districts such as Baramulla, Anantnag, Doda, Rajouri, and Leh. This initiative enabled candidates from remote and far-flung areas to appear for the B.E./B.Tech entrance exam in J&K and Ladakh within their own districts, reducing travel challenges and improving accessibility.
The BOPEE administration expressed appreciation for the coordinated efforts of institutional staff, district authorities, and security agencies in successfully conducting the CET 2026 for engineering admissions. The seamless execution of the exam underscores the board’s commitment to maintaining transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in the admission process.
