Jammu: A two-day training programme focusing on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR commenced at the Excise and Taxation Training Institute (ETTI), Nagrota.
The programme is being conducted under the leadership of Excise Commissioner Vaibhav Kohli and the supervision of Principal ETTI Nagrota Renu Kumari.
The training featured a session on Artificial Intelligence by Jatinder Manhas from the University of Jammu, along with a workshop on Basic Life Support and CPR conducted by Shelly Mahajan.
Around 50 officers from the Excise Department participated in the programme.
Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen capacity building, enhance professional competence, and equip officers to respond effectively in critical and emergency situations.
The Excise Department has been regularly organising such training programmes as part of its efforts to modernise skills and improve operational efficiency.
