After remaining closed for the winter vacation, schools and colleges across the Kashmir Valley reopened on Monday, bringing students back to classrooms after a long break.
Authorities had earlier announced the reopening of educational institutions following the conclusion of the winter schedule across the region. Students were seen returning to campuses in large numbers as academic activities resumed.
Officials from the Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department said that all necessary arrangements were made to ensure the smooth functioning of educational institutions across the valley.
Schools in several districts including Srinagar, Budgam, Baramulla, Anantnag and Kupwara reopened as per schedule.
Teachers welcomed students back and resumed regular academic work, while many institutions also conducted orientation sessions to help students smoothly transition back into the academic routine.
Parents and students expressed relief over the reopening, saying it will help restore the normal academic schedule after the winter break.
