Jammu, May 13: Jammu East MLA Yudhvir Sethi on Tuesday conducted an extensive inspection of ongoing development works in Goyal Lane, Lajpat Nagar, and Lakhdatta Bazaar in Jammu East constituency, reviewing civic infrastructure projects and interacting with local residents over public concerns.
Officials from the UEED and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) accompanied the MLA during the inspection visit.
During the tour, Sethi reviewed the progress of multiple developmental works, including the upgradation of roads, lanes, drainage systems, and other civic infrastructure projects aimed at improving public amenities and living conditions in the area.
He directed concerned officials to ensure the timely completion of all projects while maintaining quality standards, stressing that developmental works must meet public expectations.
Interacting with residents and shopkeepers, the MLA listened to grievances related to drainage issues, sanitation concerns, and other civic problems affecting the locality.
Assuring prompt action, Sethi said all genuine public issues would be addressed on priority through coordination with the relevant departments.
“Development of every locality in Jammu East remains my top priority. Better roads, efficient drainage systems, and improved civic amenities are essential to improving the quality of life for residents,” he said.
The MLA said regular field visits are important for monitoring project execution and ensuring accountability at the ground level.
He also emphasized the need for effective coordination between departments for smooth implementation of development works and instructed officials to maintain communication with residents during project execution.
Sethi appreciated the cooperation of local residents and urged continued public support for ongoing development initiatives in Jammu East constituency.
Officials from UEED and JMC briefed the MLA on the status of the projects and assured that the ongoing works would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
