Jammu, Apr 15: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has given his assent to the Jammu and Kashmir Universities Bill, 2026, which was passed by the Assembly on the final day of the Budget Session on April 4.
In addition, the Lieutenant Governor has also approved the Jammu and Kashmir Jan Vishwas Second (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2026.
The approval of these bills marks an important step in strengthening the legislative and administrative framework in the Union Territory.
