SRINAGAR, April 08: At least seven passenger buses were damaged in a late-night fire incident at a bus stand in Kupwara district on Wednesday, officials said.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot and, after sustained efforts with the assistance of police and local residents, managed to bring the blaze under control.
According to officials, three buses were completely gutted in the fire, while three others sustained partial damage. Another vehicle was affected by intense heat and smoke.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
Authorities have registered a case, and an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the cause of the fire. Further inquiries are underway.
