Kulgam, March 29: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, on Saturday conducted an extensive inspection of market areas and petrol pumps across the district to review the availability of fuel and essential supplies.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected several filling stations and interacted with pump owners, staff, and consumers to assess the ground-level situation regarding petrol and diesel supply.

Officials informed that the DC took stock of stock levels, supply chains, and distribution mechanisms to ensure that there is no disruption in availability.

Emphasizing the importance of essential commodities, Shahzad Alam directed the concerned departments and stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted supply and ensure smooth, transparent distribution of fuel across all parts of the district.

He also stressed the need for close monitoring to prevent hoarding, black marketing, or any artificial shortage that could inconvenience the public.

The administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring adequate availability of fuel and essential commodities for residents of Kulgam.
