DODA, February 11: In view of increasing tourist footfall at various destinations across the Doda–Kishtwar–Ramban (DKR) Range, a comprehensive security review meeting was chaired by DIG DKR Range, Shridhar Patil (IPS), to assess and strengthen security arrangements in the region.

The meeting focused on reviewing the existing security framework to ensure a safe and secure environment for tourists visiting different destinations in the DKR Range. Officers from the District Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) participated in the meeting.

Detailed discussions were held on the effective implementation of security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), strengthening access control and surveillance systems, and improving coordination among security agencies deployed at key tourist locations. Emphasis was also laid on updating contingency plans and conducting mock drills to enhance preparedness and response capabilities in case of any emergency.

During the meeting, the DIG directed all concerned officers to implement the discussed measures in a coordinated and time-bound manner. He stressed the need to maintain a high level of alertness and operational readiness to effectively deal with any emergent situation.
