In a significant breakthrough, Patiala Police has busted an inter-state illegal arms supply module, apprehending four accused and recovering 10 sophisticated self-loading firearms.
According to preliminary investigations, the accused were procuring country-made weapons from Bihar and supplying them in Punjab to facilitate criminal activities. The probe has further revealed links to gang rivalry, with the accused allegedly plotting to target a rival associated with the Goldy Dhillon network in a bid to assert dominance in the region.
A case has been registered, and an in-depth investigation is underway to trace backward and forward linkages, identify the broader network, and dismantle the entire arms supply chain. Police officials have indicated that further arrests are likely as the investigation progresses.
