JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday assigned additional charge to eleven Accounts Officers (AOs) in the Finance Department to streamline administrative functioning across various departments.According to an official order issued by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Finance Department, Shailendra Kumar, the officers have been entrusted with additional responsibilities in different government offices across the Union Territory.As per the order, Naseer Ahmad Rather, Accounts Officer in the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Jammu, has been given the additional charge of Accounts Officer in the Regional Transport Office (RTO), Jammu.Similarly, Farooq Ahmad Shah, Accounts Officer with the Kokernag Tourism Development Authority, will also hold the charge of Accounts Officer in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Awantipora.Satender Singh, currently posted as Accounts Officer in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Doda, has been assigned additional charge of the same post in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Kishtwar.Meanwhile, Ravinder Kumar Raina, Accounts Officer in the District Fund Office, Jammu, will hold the charge of Accounts Officer in the office of the Relief Commissioner (Migrants), Jammu.In another appointment, Tawseef Ahmad Thoker, Accounts Officer with the Additional District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, has been given the additional charge of Accounts Officer at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora.Further, Mudasir Zaman Drabu, Accounts Officer with JKPCL Kashmir, will hold the charge of Accounts Officer in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Budgam.The order also states that Amandeep Singh, Accounts Officer in the Custodian General Office, has been assigned additional charge of Accounts Officer in the Directorate of Disaster Management (erstwhile Emergency Relief Organization).Similarly, Raja Umer, Accounts Officer with the Economic Reconstruction Agency, will hold the charge of Accounts Officer in the office of the Chief Executive Officer, J&K CAMPA.Irfan Rashid, Accounts Officer in the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, has been assigned the additional responsibility of Pay and Accounts Officer in the Municipal Council, Rajouri.Additionally, Ajay Singh, Accounts Officer with the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, will hold the charge of Accounts Officer in the State Health Agency.Meanwhile, Syed Arif Yaseen, In-charge Accounts Officer in the Directorate of Animal Husbandry, Kashmir, has been assigned the additional charge of Accounts Officer in the Directorate of Floriculture, Kashmir.The order specifies that these officers will continue to perform their existing duties alongside the newly assigned responsibilities until further orders.
