JAMMU, Mar 9: In a continued crackdown on illegal mining activities, Jammu Police on Sunday detained eleven vehicles, including JCB machines, dumpers and tractor trolleys, during a special enforcement drive conducted at multiple locations across the district.
The operation was carried out jointly with officials from the Revenue Department to curb the illegal extraction and transportation of mining material.
During the drive, police teams intercepted and seized several vehicles allegedly involved in unauthorised mining activities. Officials said the action forms part of an ongoing campaign aimed at preventing environmental degradation and ensuring strict compliance with mining regulations.
Authorities reiterated that strict action will continue against those engaged in illegal mining, warning that violators will face legal consequences under relevant laws.
