JAMMU: More than 50,000 students appeared for the Class 10th examinations on Wednesday across 527 examination centres established by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education in the summer zone of Jammu Division.

According to an official statement issued by the Board, the examination was conducted smoothly, with comprehensive arrangements put in place to ensure a fair, transparent, and orderly process. Centre superintendents and supervisory staff were deployed across all centres with strict instructions to uphold examination integrity and maintain discipline.

To further strengthen monitoring, vigilance squads were constituted for random inspections to ensure adherence to examination protocols. The vigilance teams were also directed to maintain courteous and respectful conduct while carrying out their duties.

Deputy Superintendents were specifically instructed to ensure that candidates correctly filled in their series and roll numbers and signed at the designated places on their answer scripts, minimizing the possibility of procedural errors.

The Board also requested district administrations to enforce restrictions under Section 163 of the BNSS to prevent any external interference and safeguard the sanctity of the examinations.
