Reasi: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday asserted that any attempt to disrupt peace, law and order, or civilian safety in the Union Territory would be dealt with strictly, reiterating a zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and violence. His remarks came during the Passing Out Parade of 430 trainee constables at STC Talwara in Reasi, where he emphasized that maintaining security in J&K remains a top priority for the administration.

In a firm message, Sinha said elements seeking to disturb public peace, target commercial activities, or incite unrest would face the full force of the law. The Manoj Sinha statement underlined the government’s resolve to safeguard stability and prevent any backsliding in the region’s security gains. He also called for decisive action against separatist forces attempting to divide society and hinder progress, stressing that unity and vigilance are essential to sustaining peace.

Praising the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Lieutenant Governor credited the force with contributing to a “terrorism free J&K” environment and strengthening governance and development. He urged the newly inducted constables to uphold these achievements and continue working toward public safety and trust. Highlighting the importance of ethical policing, he reminded them that credibility must be earned through integrity, impartiality, and empathy in their interactions with citizens.

Reaffirming the force’s commitment to democratic values, Sinha said the Jammu and Kashmir Police remains dedicated to maintaining law and order while protecting the rights of the people. During the ceremony, outstanding trainees were recognised, with Johnny Victor receiving the All-Round Best award. The event was attended by Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat and other senior officials.

The Passing Out Parade marked not only the induction of new personnel but also a clear signal from the administration that efforts to undermine peace will not be tolerated, as Jammu and Kashmir continues its push toward lasting stability and development.
