Budgam, March 22: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Budgam, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi, has announced the donation of his one month’s salary to support humanitarian relief efforts for the people of Iran during the ongoing difficult situation.
In a statement issued here, the MLA expressed solidarity with the people of Iran and emphasized the importance of compassion and global unity during times of crisis.
“I stand in solidarity with the people of Iran during this challenging period. As a humble gesture of support and compassion, I am donating my one month’s salary towards relief efforts,” Mehdi said.
He added that crises remind humanity of the need to rise above geographical and political boundaries and extend support to those in need.
“In times of crisis, it is our collective responsibility to help those suffering. Such moments remind us of our shared humanity and the importance of unity, empathy, and peace across nations,” he stated.
The Budgam legislator also appealed to people from all walks of life, particularly those in public service, to come forward and contribute to humanitarian causes.
He stressed that humanity must always come first, urging society to strengthen the spirit of compassion and solidarity during difficult times.
