JAMMU, Apr 08: S. Senthil Kumar, a 1998-batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer of the J&K-AGMUT cadre, has been empanelled for appointment as Joint Secretary in the Government of India, according to details available with Cross Town News.

Presently serving as Deputy Director General of Forests (DDGF) in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Senthil Kumar brings with him extensive administrative and field experience in forest governance and environmental management.

Over the years, he has held several key positions, including Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) in Jammu and Kashmir, where he played a significant role in forest conservation and policy implementation.

His empanelment to a senior position at the Centre is seen as a recognition of his expertise and contributions to the forestry sector.
