JAMMU, April 8: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Tuesday met several public delegations in Jammu, reiterating the government’s commitment to pro-people governance and responsive administration.

During the interactions, the Deputy CM engaged with representatives from diverse sectors, holding detailed discussions on key development initiatives and welfare schemes aimed at enhancing the quality of life for citizens across the Union Territory.

“The present dispensation remains committed and steadfast towards responsive, transparent and pro-people governance in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.

Highlighting the government’s priorities, Surinder Choudhary emphasized that sustained efforts are underway to ensure the timely and amicable resolution of public grievances, while promoting inclusive, balanced and time-bound development across all regions of J&K.

Delegations from multiple districts, including Jammu, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Rajouri, Samba and Ramban, apprised the Deputy CM of a wide range of issues and demands.

The concerns largely revolved around road infrastructure, employment generation, industrial growth and other day-to-day challenges faced by the people.

Responding to the issues, the Deputy Chief Minister held on-the-spot discussions with concerned officials, directing them to ensure prompt redressal.

He assured the delegations that all genuine grievances would be taken up with the relevant authorities and addressed on priority.
