Sopore, Feb 24: Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat along with SDG Coordination S J M Geelani visited Sopore on Monday to review the prevailing security scenario and operational preparedness in the district.
He was accompanied by IGP Kashmir V K Birdi and DIG North Kashmir Range Maqsood-ul-Zaman during the high-level security review meeting.
During the session, SSP Sopore briefed the senior officers on the current security environment, counter-terror operations, anti-narcotics efforts and law and order management. The meeting also reviewed intelligence coordination, area domination strategies and measures aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem.
Addressing officers, the DGP stressed focused action against elements supporting terrorism and called for sustained intelligence-based operations to ensure lasting peace and stability in the district.
The meeting was attended by senior district police officers, including SDPOs, DySP Operations, SHOs and DOs of Sopore.
