Srinagar, Mar 18: Akshay Labroo, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, chaired a review meeting of senior revenue officers at the DC Office Complex to assess tehsil-wise progress on key revenue matters and strengthen service delivery systems across the district, with a special focus on the digitization of revenue records.

The meeting was attended by Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Irfan Bahadur, Zubair Ahmad, Umar Gulzar, along with all Tehsildars of the district.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a detailed review of tehsil-wise progress in the digitization of revenue records, updation and attestation of mutations, disposal of public grievances, and delivery of other time-bound services by the Revenue Department.

During the meeting, Labroo also assessed the progress of verification of cases under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 and evaluated the performance of online service delivery platforms, emphasizing their role in ensuring transparency and efficiency in governance.

Appreciating the efforts of revenue officers and field functionaries, the DC urged them to maintain a proactive approach in expediting the freezing of Jamabandies and grievance registers across all tehsils. He stressed the need for adopting robust and result-oriented mechanisms to further enhance departmental efficiency.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed officers to ensure prompt and high-quality service delivery to the public, with strict adherence to timelines under the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) through platforms such as Jansugam and Revenue Plus.

While reviewing pending cases, Labroo instructed officials to accelerate the disposal of backlog mutation cases to provide timely relief to the public. He also emphasized the need for early completion of verification processes under PMAY 2.0.

On court case compliance, the DC directed Tehsildars to ensure submission of clear, accurate, and timely replies for the effective disposal of court cases, including matters and grievances registered under the Migrant Act.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthen governance, improve transparency, and ensure efficient delivery of revenue services to the people of Srinagar.
